For the Dutch Rex Cat Clubs 30 year jubilee there will be
held, in connection with Felikats international show of 19th
November 2006, a REX and SPHYNX SPECIAL in Nieuwegein,
Holland.
One expects to see many Cornish Rex, Devon Rex, German Rex
and Sphynx both from Holland and other countries. Make a note
in your calender and book early.
23/9/06: DK Calico
Moon's Midnight Love was BEST IN VARIANT - BEST IN SHOW -
BEST OF BEST - BEST OVERALL and became CHAMPION on the day of
17.9.2006 at the NVVK show in Dordrecht, Holland.

the standard for Cornish Rex.
FIFe's Judges and Standards Commission, following a
submission from the CRX Breed Council, is proposing changes
to the Cornish Rex Standard. The proposal will be presented
at the FIFe General Assemby in Rome, 25-26 May. See the

24/8/05: In connection with
the Rex-Special in Nyborg the 3rd September - All
arrangements are complete, and JYRAK has chosen Lotte Borch,
who is known as a a big Rex fan, to undertake the judging of
the cats in "the special". Lotte will not judge the
same cats in the ordinary classes. The plan is to choose cats
in different "theme classes", for example, BIS Rex
coat, BIS Rex ears, etc. as well as choose a BIS Rex without
regard to variety.
There will be prizes for all the competing Rexes from both
JYRAK, Rex & Sphynx Klubben, Royal Canin and from our
Swedish member, May Loftunger-Klein (Kleloft's) - and the
chairman invites all to a drink to celebrate the very first
REX-SPECIAL in Denmark. (Big thanks to JYRAK!)
12/8/05: FIFe-info: On pages
54 and 55 of the EMS System Book the codes 01, 02 and 03 have
been omitted in Group VIII (all pointed Rex varieties with
white).
In addition to the 09 (unspecified amount of white) which is
listed, the following should be added to each colour variety
in Group VIII:
01 (Van), 02 (Harlequin) and 03 (bi-Colour).
These corrections will be made to the next edition of the
EMS System.
20/7/05: In connection with
JYRAK's show in Nyborg on the 3rd September this year,
there will be a "Special Show" for Rex. We hope to
see many Rexes that day! More information later.

2/8/05: In connection with
JYRAK's show in Nyborg on the 3rd September this year, we
have received this generous offer from Jyrak:
"You can book your Rex cats, just to participate in
the REX special show, for a price of DKK 50 per cat. The
cat(s) must in all respects comply with the normal rules for
the show."
That means that all Rex cats - young or old, modern or old
type, that are booked in to the Rex-Special will not get a
certificate (unless booked in at the normal price), but will
participate in the competition for Best Rex. The details on
the competition will appear here soon.
Let us make use of this opportunity to show the flag and
meet up in large numbers at this unique chance to present the
breeds to a bigger public.
Final booking date: 10th August. Get your booking made and
if the cat is to go ONLY in the Rex-Special, state that
expicitly (then the price will be DKK 50/cat).

website/FIP
FIP
support - a newly established website.
It's purpose is to focus on giving moral support to
frightened owners that have just come into contact with FIP -
and to actively support FIP research! Dr. Diane Addie, who is
one of the world's foremost researchers into FIP, and is
employed at the University of Glasgow, is short of funds for,
for example, the large amount of money needed to get a new
freezer capable of temperatures down to minus 80 degrees C!
She gets no public support, only private, and as is said
"the pennies soon mount up", so do your best to
help! For every one who has some small change to give, there
is an email address, credit card, or PayPal link. ALL help
via the website will further encourage Dr. Diane Addie in her
work.
27/1/05:
The Club's Annual General Meeting will be held on the
12th March, 2005 at 13:00 in Borgerforeningens Hus,
Nørrevoldgade 63 in Nyborg. The Agenda is according to
the Constitution. So the catering arrangements can be

The Club's webmaster now has his very first German Rex.
She is European Star's Curly-Sue (breeder Kordula
Möhle in Germany) and is the first in Denmark. She was
born on the 13th April 2004, and Tony and Myrtle collected
her from the Wismar show on the 7th August.

7/7/04: At
the show in Rheinberg, Germany at the weekend, Fort Knox
Hermione Granger became champion on Saturday 3rd July 2004,
and Axiom's Vanilla Black and White became International
Champion on Sunday 4th July 2004.
27/6/04:

The good results with the Club's cats continues. At
Katteklubben's show in Silkeborg a Sphynx female neuter,
Zozie, was BOX.
She is the first Sphynx in Denmark to get the title
Premier.

12/7/03: At
jyrak's show in Kruså on the 28 June our pedigree
cats obtained extremely good results.
For the first time in Denmark a Sphynx achieved Best In
Show!

28/5/03: At
1. DEKZV's 2-day show in Nordersted on the 24-25 May,
where 3 Danish owned Cornish Rex cats were shown, our
pedigree cats obtained extremely good results.
On the Saturday Morten S. Skjershede and Ulrich Alster
Klug's S*Solvindens Jonny Depp became International
Champion and BOX in Category III, Hanne Hende's Marias
Nicke Nyfiken became International Premier and BIS Neuter in
Category III, whilst Susanna Bugges Bodwin's Kiri became
Champion and BIS in the same category.
On the Sunday the success was repeated for Bodwin's
Kiri, but the nominated Jonny Depp and Nicke were knocked out
by a British Blue and a Ruddy Aby.
A great weekend for Rex & Sphynx Klubben ! -

24/3/03:
The World Show 2003 was to be held at the new Siemens Arena
in Ballerup. On the 3rd January this year, the roof
collapsed. (Racekatten were due to have the very first cat
show in the Arena on the 9th February, so on the 6th January
had to announce a new venue.) On the 6th March Felis Danica
announced that WS 2003 will be held at the Bella Center on Amager, Copenhagen. For

Mundikat is holding a Rex-Special (click here) cat show on the
21st April 2003 in Arnhem (Holland), that lies close to the
German border. Bookings can be made online at Mundikat
(click here), (go to "Online Inschrijven
Shows"). Mundikat hopes to see many Scandinavian
Rexes.
2/1/03:
Mating has taken place between IC Bodwin's Fiona (DRX w)
and CH Ochremenko's Balvenie (DRX ns). Approximate date
of birth March 5.
31/12/02:
The Club's AGM will be held during Racekattens
Bagsværd cat show on the 9th February 2003. To
participate, the subscription has to be paid by the 5th
January 2003. Incoming proposals will be sent to members.
Members not attending can vote with a dated and signed
proxy.

1083 cats, out of which 67 Cornish Rex, 15 Devon Rex, 2
German Rex and 3 Sphynx have been entered for the World Show,
November 9-10 in Helsinki from 23 countries. For the very
first time the World Show Catalogue will be published ON LINE
on SRK's homepages (see
World Show 2002) as soon as the opening ceremonies are
over (latest Saturday 12 noon) All the judging results will
be updated directly to the on line catalogue during the show.
A collection of photos will be available as well on the same
section during the days, possibly even live video

There are 15 Rex cats booked for the cat show in Hedensted on
the 30th March! That will be the biggest number of Rex cats
seen at any Danish cat show up to now.
5/2/02: Our

Karin Weuts in Belgium is asking for help with a statistical
analysis of all Rex and Sphynx breeds. She intends to write a

anniversary on the 28th March 2002, the Jydsk Racekatte Klub
(JYRAK) has kindly undertaken to hold a "Rex &
Sphynx Special Show" as part of their Spring 2002 cat
show in Hedensted on the 30th March. We are delighted! - and
hope to see many Danish and other countries examples of the
breeds.
